SONADORA HEIGHTS A STEP AWAY……A WORLD APART
Here in the province of Cocle, a magnificent, new community is being built…Sonadora Heights. Even the name rolls off the tongue like a cool mountain breeze. Unlike any other development, the builders of Sonadora Heights have developed a master plan to meet your every wish: beautiful and functional floor plans, recreational and contemplation areas, services and – all the while – preserving the pristine setting and views of the rolling hills and mountains. Sonadora Heights is a place where tradition, innovation and Nature exist side-by-side.
A STEP AWAY…

Cocle has long been called the `the market basket’ of Panama. Its lush fields and rich soil produce much of the country’s tomatoes, sugar cane and rice, as well as hosting large cattle ranches. To the south, its border is the Pacific Ocean, rimmed with startlingly white beaches. Along Cocle’s northern border are dense forests of the central mountains. Amidst this contrasting topography is a wealth of attractions for the tourist and the resident alike. From water sports to eco-adventures, golf to mountain hiking, modern hotels to fashionable villas and condominiums.
A scant two hours from Panama City, via the Pan American Highway, sits Penonome, the capitol of Cocle. A vibrant, modern city, Penonome offers virtually all the amenities that one would expect, including a modern, fully-staffed hospital. There are restaurants to satisfy any palate, shopping galore and a market that highlights the intricate, colorful Indian crafts and draws buyers and tourists from miles around. There always seems to be a festival in Penonome of one kind or another: the aquatic festival on the historic Zarati River or one of the many agricultural events. It is an area rich in Spanish Colonial architecture and the history of Indigenous people of Panama.
Yet, another story emerges for this unique country and it starts as you drive NORTH along a wide, modern road and through beautiful forests and landscaped properties.

A World Apart...

It is truly an amazing transition that begins to take place. The trappings of the city fall away; the air smells fresher; the sky a bit more blue. There are no sounds of civilization, no blaring horns or the roar of engines. In less than six kilometers (2.4 miles), you feel you have entered the realm of undisturbed Nature.
Standing at the entrance to Sonadora Heights, the sounds of the Zarati River, running along the property behind you, are unmistakable. In front of you is a vista that is absolutely stunning. It is as if you are standing on the stage of some grand amphitheatre. The far hills soar to a height of almost three hundred meters and they wrap around as if to embrace. The lower heights are anything but flat. They are filled with wooded hills and smooth valleys and are often bisected by babbling brooks and bubbling waterfalls.
Here, the air is cooler and cleaner and its breezes can be heard as they move through the trees and palms. The deep azure sky accents the brilliant whiteness of billowing clouds and, together, one feels they, in fact, stand in a unique place.
